1985 Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk – Cost: $3.25 million

The UH-60 Black Hawk entered U.S. Army service in 1979. It took the place of the Bell UH-1 Iroquois. The military’s primary use for the helicopter is tactical transport. Black Hawks has two General Electric T700 turboshaft engines and four-blade main plus tail rotors. The designators named the aircraft after the Native American Leader Black Hawk.
