Pilot Takes The ALS Challenge in His Private Plane

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve probably heard of the latest internet sensation – the Ice Bucket Challenge. Designed to raise awareness for the disease Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), its goal is encouraging the public to donate to the ALS Association in support of ongoing research. And, well, it’s definitely gotten people talking. From prominent politicians to industry leaders, pro athletes, and celebrities, everybody who’s somebody has jumped on the bandwagon.

There’s plenty of room for tweaking the challenge to your liking. The only requirement is a bucket of ice water. Other than that, you make your own rules, which inspired veteran aviator Bruce Bohannon to take his Ice Bucket Challenge up a notch – or a few thousand, to be exact.
